Behind the Scenes at the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic - The Grouches.

It appears that when there are smiles on one side of the tournament there are quite a few grouches behind the scenes. Take for instance Mr. Viral Proposal, the guy with the most outstanding colors like beacons on the course. With some slight deductions many might agree that this guy is one for the attention...lets see...there's the quiet way to make a proposal then there's the public way to go, apparently it goes beyond that adding a new category... the loud and very noticeable.

It so happens that each player is allowed one guest who normally has access to a few restricted places without hassle. It is once again agreeable to say that this is only fair to have these ladies have some peace and relaxation to have a bite after a tough day. A player's guest can be her relative or friend or her caddie, caddies however have the option of having meals and snack at the caddie shack, over on the range. This he could have easily discussed for new brother-in-law and caddie to do so he can get the full use of the the pass which many did.

Mr. Viral Proposal comes over and makes his presence known by saying he's the husband of the player, the process was explained to him, which was that his brother-in-law was the guest of the player and that only one guest was allowed. He makes a big scene using the regular profanities that is normal for folks with little vocabulary, in fact he was the first who used such words out of 108 players and caddies and guests.

He proceeds to make his way on to the greens to find his wife and caddie to retrieve the already used guest pass. Little did he know that he needed an additional means of security in the form of a wrist band, along with the guest pass, so he came the back way out of the sight of the folks who served him first, security made a tiny slip and didn't ask about the wrist band, he makes his way by bullying past the dining area access control lady and proceeds to get what he wanted for breakfast. Security was alerted and he was advised again that the privilidge that the guest pass gives was already used and besides he didn't have that wrist band that allows full access.

Once again he storms out with more expletives flying. The good this about his choice of clothing is that he could not be missed since he was like a red card used in soccer that most everyone can see even from a distance so security and the rest of the working staff was on alert when his color approached.

Talk about boisterous and attention seeking.

Wie at Atlantis, swims with dolphins.

After swimming with the dolphins and sea lion on Tuesday, Michelle Wie possibly got a new and uplifted look and feel of life and made quite an impressive 8-under par. She was relaxed and used some caution because of the wind which picked up for the second round. During her game she shot with confidence and made several birdies to put herself only 2 places from the top.

Wie has a unique style that seems to be getting quite a lot of attention, this she however feels absolutely comfortable with saying she prefer to make putts rather than look cool.

Wei on the right with her fun adjustment.
Earlier in the month she tweeted a photo making fun of herself with a bit of an adjustment to the so called 'tabletop' style she now uses. She tweeted #donttrythisathome.

Ko, Lewis paired, leads yesterdays boards.

The 16 year old turn rookie pro Lydia Ko, who makes her first appearance in the LPGA tour in the Pure Silk Bahamas Classic, has stepped out on top at the end of the first day of play. Ko who had a 130 weeks stint on top of her amateur game turned pro recently.

Lydia's mom, Tina, travels with her and  was there with her pleasant and almost permanent smile when Lydia was interviewed by the LPGA following the days play.

The rookie never showed any sign of nervousness during the day's play but says she got of  "to a shaky start and I needed to make a 4-footer for par, but when I made birdie at No. 2 I was able to relax". She further said she shocked herself that she wasn't nervous. Ko was paired with Stacy Lewis who said that Ko was a really "likeable kid" and that she was happy to be playing with her.

EspnW's Mechelle Voepel puts it a nutshell saying how innocent she is and how much of an influential teenager she has become, all in her article about Ko.

Ko shot 5-under 68 to tie for the first-round lead with South Korean Meena Lee and will continue her quest for this year's title on Sunday.
